PRIVACY POLICY
1. Introduction
Decipha Pty Ltd (ABN 31 100 126 396) (“Decipha”) respects and
upholds your rights to privacy protection under the National
Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy
Act”) and any similar state or territory legislation applicable to
Decipha's operations.
This policy describes how we manage any personal information we
have about you.
2. What information do we collect and store?
As a customer of Decipha, you may be asked to submit personal information to Decipha orally, by email, in online form via Decipha's website (www.decipha.com) (”Site”) or in hard copy form. The information submitted or sent electronically is received by our network and stored in our database. The information provided orally is also stored in our database. Hard copy information is held within secure files on our business premises.
In providing Decipha with information, sending Decipha an email, completing an online form or providing hard copy information, you consent to Decipha using any personal information within our organisation for the purposes for which that information is collected, including responding to queries, re-publishing information on our site, and compilation of databases and research for marketing purposes.
2. How do we use the information we collect?
The information we collect is used to provide Decipha's services. Subject to the circumstances described below, Decipha will not disclose personal information about you to any person, except on a confidential basis to agents that we use in the ordinary operation of our business, such as for data processing, printing or mailing.
Decipha from time to time passes on de-identified information in statistical or demographic form to third parties and government departments.
Decipha may use the personal information provided to send
newsletters outlining news, services or events. Such newsletters
will contain instructions as to how receivers are able to
unsubscribe from the mailing list.
Except as outlined above, Decipha will not sell, trade or disclose
any personal information to any third party without consent or
unless we are required by law to do so.
Decipha reserves the right to modify the information, collate, edit or track personal information in order to improve our services or if required by law.
At any time you may opt out of receiving any communications from us (other than as required for the operation of our business, e.g. regarding payment of your account).
3. Security, Quality and Accuracy of information
Decipha endeavours to keep personal information up to date and accurate. Please let us know if you become aware of any details accidentally recorded incorrectly in an email, in an online form, or in hard copy. Decipha will endeavour to correct personal information within three business days of receiving a written request.
Whilst Decipha will take all due care in protecting the
security, confidentiality and privacy of the information submitted,
we cannot guarantee that systems will be completely free from third
party interception or damage to information transmitted by email
which is caused by viruses.
5. Rights to Access and Amend Information
You may request access to personal information we hold about you by contacting Decipha on the customer enquiry email decipha.info@decipha.com.au. Where we hold information that you are entitled to access, we will endeavour to provide you with a suitable range of choices as to how you access it (e.g. emailing or mailing it to you).
If you believe that personal information we hold about you is
incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, then you may request amendment
of it. We will consider if the information requires amendment. If
we do not agree that there are grounds for amendment, then we will
add a note to the personal information stating that you disagree
with it.

6. Cookies and Links to Other Websites
Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to a
computer's hard disk for record keeping purposes. Most web browsers
are set to accept cookies. Decipha uses cookies to make use of the
Site and services as convenient as possible. Cookies do not
themselves personally identify users, although they do identify a
user's browser. Cookies allow Decipha to record how many people are
using the different parts of the Site. It is possible to set the
browser to refuse cookies. This will not prevent you from accessing
the Site, however it may prevent you from utilising all features of
the Site.
Decipha provides links to websites outside of the Site. These
linked sites are not under the control of Decipha, and Decipha is
not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such
sites.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This policy represents our policy as at 1 July 2005. We may change this policy from time to time. Although we intend to observe this policy at all times, it is not legally binding on Decipha in any way. From time to time we may regard it as necessary or desirable to act outside the policy. Decipha may do so, subject only to any statutory rights you have under the Privacy Act or other applicable legislation.
