Data Validation and Data Extraction

In order to confirm data accuracy, most data captured by Decipha will undergo some form of validation. This validation process is conducted in line with client requirements and can include:

  • Arithmetic checks (ie checking the sum of lines against totals provided)

  • Checks against business rules (ie where data identified falls outside of agreed parameters set by the client)

  • Approval checking (ie checking for approval by signature or approval documentation)

  • Manual checking by our operators

  • Database cross–referencing (ie checking captured information against records provided by the client or a third party database).

A key advantage of using database cross referencing is that it also provides the capability for document auto-population. This means where a positive match is found between the captured data and the database, any additional data attached to the database record can be added to the image metadata.
